Zooper Tango Stroller

So I didn't win the Bumbleride but I'm on a mission to win another stroller. This one is a Zooper Tango and it's super cute also.

http://www.twoofakindworkingonafullhouse.blogspot.com/ has amazing giveaways. She gets awesome companies to give her stuff and in turn, give other people stuff too. One of these days I'm going to be the lucky recipient.

I heart the Bumbleride

So most of you know that I have a stroller obsession. I have a bunch, but always come up with reasons and occasions to buy more. There is one stroller in particular that I am in love with. A blog that I follow is giving one away and by posting a few links here, I gain more entries for the drawing. It's an extremely long shot but I WANT TO WIN, darn it!

I want to win one in Seagrass!

Miss Smarty Pants

Karsyn is a sponge. She retains so much of what she learns and amazes me daily. She knows her shapes, colors, alphabet, phone number, can spell her name and can count. She is currently working on letter and number recognition. She loves teaching all our daycare friends songs and is helping them to learn the colors. I might have to put her on payroll soon.

Yeah

Photo Day!

We finally found a wonderful photographer who was willing to take on our crazy bunch. The best part was, she came to our house for the shoot! Houston wasn't feeling the best but they turned out pretty well. It's awfully hard to get 3 kids under 3 to sit still long enough to have a picture taken, even harder to get them all to look at the camera at the same time and as we have found out, impossible to have them all smile on cue. We think they're pretty cute anyways!

Happy Easter!

I have royally been slacking on our blog. Since my last post, the boys have turned 11 months. They will actually be turning one on May 1. I have no idea where the past year has gone. I can honestly say, as much work as two babies and a toddler is, I think we're pretty good at being parents to three under three. Life's so much easier now that the boys sleep through the night and they both have a mouthful of teeth. Houston and Chase have both taken a couple steps and walking is surely in our near future. Houston has seemed to outgrow his milk/soy allergy and is transitioning to whole milk nicely. He still has egg allergies that he may or may not outgrow. Tonight we moved the cribs in the twins' room away from the walls/window. Houston kicks the walls and Chase moves the curtains aside so he can watch out the window. Maybe now they will actually sleep instead of play. I can dream, right?
Karsyn is still obsessed with the Wiggles 'moo-mies'. She got a few new dvd's from the Easter Bunny. She also got a cool new chair from Grandma Carla. She promptly took her new chair into her room to watch the Wiggles. I had no idea she would put the chair on her bed and then sit on it. She's a funny kid. Great Grandma Helen also is feeding into Karsyn's obsession with cake. Every holiday is a reason to have 'birf-day' cake. She bought us an Easter Bunny cake and Karsyn was thrilled.

We sure have cute kids!

Happy St Patrick's Day!

Today was a fun day full of green. We had blueberry pancakes with green whipped topping for breakfast, spinach turkey wraps for lunch and green pudding for afternoon snack. The kids colored shamrocks and played outside most of the day. We are so thankful for the beautiful weather!

Leggo My Eggo!

Karsyn is daddy's big helper. Today we went to the mall and afterward, she helped Eric clean the garage. It seems like they clean the garage every Saturday. I have no idea why the garage needs to be cleaned every weekend but Karsyn sure enjoys the daddy-daughter time. She decided to finally come in and announce she was "ungry." Being the great mom that I am, I promptly fed her a highly nutritious meal consisting of Eggo waffles and a banana. (I'm quite the cook, if you haven't already heard. ) What does Karsyn do to show her appreciation for my slaving over the toaster? She falls asleep at the table. Oh well, at least she ate her waffle first.

Bath Time Fun!

Our kids' favorite time of the day is bath time. They splash like crazy and squeal like pigs. With the amount of water that ends up on me, the walls and the tile, I'm sure new paint and new tile is probably in our new future. Good thing I dry easily.

Father/Son Karaoke

Karsyn Can Spell.......sort of. :)

10 Months Already!

Chase and Houston turned ten months old last Sunday. They each spent part of the day in Acute Care so I'm sure it wasn't too exciting of a day for them. The boys have had colds on and off for the entire month of February. I worry that their colds will turn into something worse, so I often err on the side of caution and visit the doctor's office for reassurance. Chase has croup and an ear infection and Houston still has a pesky virus. We're hoping some good old Amoxicillian and a nebulizer will do the trick.
Karsyn has been learning a ton. She comes up with something new everyday and makes me laugh constantly. She can also ALMOST spell her name. She argues that there is no A in Karsyn, but I beg to differ.

Chase already has a chunk of the sign in his mouth.

Karsyn in Wonderland

Karsyn went to a fabulous Alice in Wonderland themed birthday party on Sunday. Her friend, Savannah, hosted a Mad Hatter Tea Party. Karsyn had so much fun and even met a few new friends. She's starting to become quite the social butterfly. She loved drinking from the tiny tea cups and eating the scones.

Yay!

Chase has just recently started to clap his hands. Houston loves having his own private cheering section.

Valentine's Day

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day. Karsyn got a few fun new things. We love excuses to spoil her. She also went on her first 'cousin sleepover' at Aunt Renee's. She made it the whole night and had a lot of fun. We think Renee should take all three next time!

Houston FINALLY has teeth!

After months of agonizing pain, sweet Houston finally got his bottom two teeth. They came through within a day of each other and are as pretty as can be. They were well worth the wait!

"I play painting!"

Karsyn has the artistic streak that I lack. She loves to draw. She loves to paint. If it makes a mess and involves pretty colors and construction paper, she's all about it. She has so many fun talents that it's exciting to give her the tools to explore them.

9 Months Old

The twins had their 9 month check up yesterday. Besides being squirmy, they did really well. They didn't have to get immunizations this time, but had their hemoglobin checked via a finger prick. Neither boy made a peep. We have such tough little monkeys. The doctor thought the boys looked wonderfully healthy. She also had no concerns with their development. Yay!

Chase and Houston are pretty much 75th percentile across the board. Chase weighs 22 lbs and is 2' 5". Houston is 21.5 lbs and 2' 4.5". We are so fortunate our children have had good health.

Grandma Pam and Great-Grandma Helen picked up Miss Karsyn on Tuesday afternoon for an adventure. We miss her like crazy, but I think she's having too much fun in Watertown to come home anytime soon. The last I heard, she was eating popsicles and dill pickles with Papa and Kale. HOPEFULLY we'll get her back before she turns 3.

Happy Baby

It used to take soooo much to get Houston to laugh. Thankfully, that has changed. This is my favorite sound in the world.

Glam Girl

Karsyn is starting to finally enjoy dressing up, much to my delight. She loves her high heels and is happiest with curled hair, a full face of make up and her dinosaur pajamas. She's the prettiest tomboy around. She puts together the greatest outfits and loves sequins and sunglasses. She's an original!

Fresh Air!

With the nice weather we FINALLY had today, we bundled the munchkins up and ventured outdoors. We all enjoyed the fresh air and the twins napped really well afterwards. Karsyn had to take her Dora 4-wheeler for a spin. She is going to be so happy when it's Summer and she can ride it everyday.

Beckett's parents babysat our kids last night so we could go out for dinner. They did a great job, but I think they had underestimated how much work it would actually be. They looked awfully happy to see us come home. :) I'm sure they slept well last night. Thanks Tali and Chad!

Houston, we have a word!

Houston said "Da-Da" today to Eric. It was adorable. Karsyn also suddenly picked up an Australian accent. I'm assuming it's from watching The Wiggles entirely too much.
All three of the kids have colds. I love this time of year!

No touch it!

Karsyn is a bit of a control freak. She can touch the tv, but no one else can. If you do, this is what you may hear. I don't know what's funnier, her tone or the eye rolls. God help us.

Um...Karsyn....

This video is actually from last month. Her dancing skills have since improved, she now knows all the words to 'Dorothy the Dinosaur' AND she can showcase her mad moves with her pants on. What a big girl!

Best Friends

I busted Karsyn smooching Beckett today. Beckett is her favorite daycare friend. She loves when he comes in the morning and is sad to see him go when he leaves. Apparently, I need to plan more activities during the day so they spend less time kissing.

Should I take a hint?

So whenever I put pictures on Facebook, people make cool edits to them and send them back to me. I'm not sure if I should be offended that people think they need to edit my pictures in order to make them good enough or if they're just being nice. :) I will assume it's the latter. Anyways, my cousin Breanna sent me this great one of the boys today. She's mighty talented, that girl! Thanks Cuz, keep 'em coming!

Chase's first word...Mama, of course!

Chase is officially saying "Mama". I have heard it here and there throughout the past weeks, but I thought he was just making sounds. He now says it when he sees me and wants me. Yay!

Big Talkers

The boys have officially started to babble. I can hear Houston telling Chase sweet stories through the baby monitor and it takes everything for me not to go in there. I know as soon as they see me, they will stop talking to each other and want to get out of their cribs. I just love to watch them. They already have a great 'twin bond'. I'm waiting to see if they develop their own language like twins often do. So far, Houston is the better talker. He says a lot of fa's and la's. Chase still just does a lot of eh, ah's and grunts.

No one but Eric has left the house this week because of the extremely cold weather. Hopefully this weekend, we will all get out for an afternoon. Karsyn's going cabin crazy. Maybe I should take her to the dirty, germ infested play yard at the mall. Nah, I'm not that desperate yet. A nice walk through Target should be sufficient for both of us. :)

How do you tell them apart?

This question cracks me up. Seriously?!? Are we looking at the same babies? My twins couldn't be MORE fraternal. Houston has the most angelic face. His dimple makes me melt. He speaks softly and touches lovingly. He doesn't fuss when he's hungry or wet, he knows eventually, his needs will be met. His brother, on the other hand, is a whole other story. He's loud. He laughs from the bottom of his toes and his eyes twinkle. He doesn't miss anything. He swats at you when you feed him. He grunts when he's wet and screams when he's hungry. He's perfect. My kids are perfect. They are different as night and day and that's what I love most about them. They all look at me like I'm the cat's meow. I know in my heart, I was born to be their Mom.

Time Flies!

I have decided that I might have some time to actually start blogging again. I find myself getting a little 'weepy' at how fast my babies are growing up. Karsyn has moved in to her 'big girl' bed. She can count. She knows her colors. She talks like a champ. She can potty (and dump and flush her potty chair contents!) with no help from me. Every day it seems like she needs me a little less. She's so independent. She's my mini-me....only better.
Chase and Houston are already eight months old. They are both speed crawlers and are now pulling up to stand. Chase has two teeth and Houston is working hard to get his first one. I can't believe walking is in our near future. Where does the time go? I wish I could push pause. Every day is an awesome adventure that I don't want to end.
